Jewels of the Indian Ocean

Seychelles and Mauritius

After an African safari filled with adventure and excitement, the nearby Indian Ocean islands offer the perfect place to relax and reflect.

The tropical island of Mauritius, with its miles of dazzling beaches, naturally protected by a coral reef, is a much loved year round destination. The calm, clear Indian Ocean waters are ideal for diving, snorkelling, waterskiing and windsurfing. One of the world’s best marlin breeding grounds, Mauritius offers exceptional deep sea fishing.

With its beaches, volcanic mountains and lush lagoons, Mauritius offers natural beauty, a diverse culture and warm, friendly people.

Randomly scattered across the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles invites guests to explore its 115 islands. Dense forests blend into uncrowded beaches, warm, turquoise waters and coral reefs, while bird sanctuaries, exotic vegetation, secluded coves, mountain peaks and tropical coco de mer palms enchant with their diversity. With almost half of its landmass declared as natural reserves, the Seychelles remains a pristine sanctuary of legendary beauty.

Explore Madagascar
Combine the perfect beach holiday with a passion for unusual wildlife on Madagascar, home to more than 200 000 species. Located off the east coast of Africa, this incredible island is a mix of dense rainforests, mountain slopes, magnificent beaches, lush mangroves, coral reefs and arid deserts. An impressive 85% of the island’s flora and fauna, from colourful frog species to dancing lemurs, cannot be found anywhere else on earth.
Take long walks on the beautiful beaches, explore the brilliant coral reefs, wander through a local market or street fair, or hike through the rainforests.

Explore Mozambique
Spend a couple of days in Mozambique’s bustling capital city of Maputo, with its many historic, cultural and scenic attractions. Explore nearby beaches, browse local handicrafts at the vibrant Costa do Sol open air market or devour world famous prawns from the fresh fish market. Just 34 km (20 miles) from Maputo lies the scenic Inhaca Island, perfect for a beach escape.

Visit the local markets and meet the friendly fishermen of Vilankulo, gateway to Mozambique’s renowned islands. Dive at Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary on the San Sebastain Peninsula and encounter manta rays, reef and Zambezi sharks, dolphins and a kaleidoscope of other fish. Scattered in the Mozambican channel opposite Vilankulo are the five exquisite islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago. Part of a conservation project, the archipelago is one of the only remaining sanctuaries in the world for the gentle dugongs.
